Chippy Blond Brownies

6 Tbs. butter, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 ¼ cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
½ cup chopped pecans

Cream butter and brown sugar.  Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.  Beat in vanilla.  Combine the dry ingredients; gradually add to the creamed mixture.  Stir in the chocolate chips and pecans.  Spread into a greased 11 in x 7 in x 2 in baking pan.  Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes.  Can be doubled to fit 10 x 15 in cookie sheet
