A favorite kayaking treat of Tim and er, well, um…Yeah, Tim likes these cookies.
2/3 cups Crisco
1 ½ cups packed brown sugar
1 Tbs. water
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 ½ cups flour
1/3 cup cocoa
½ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. soda
2 cups chocolate chips
Combine shortening, brown sugar, water and vanilla and mix until well blended. Add eggs; beat well. Combine dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture on low speed, just until blended. Stir in chocolate chips. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 7-9 minutes at 375. Cookies will appear soft and moist. Cool 2 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet; place on foil to finish cooling.
